The Afghan government detained three British nationals under suspicion of spying for their country; one of those accused was a former soldier stationed in Afghanistan, now supposedly working as a journalist, according to TOLOnews.
According to a source cited by the news site, the former soldier was stationed in the southern province of Helmand, a deeply contested area of Afghanistan, during the occupation.

The FBI flags popular internet slang terms like "based" and "red pilled" as indicators of "violent extremism," according to internal documents obtained last week by think tank the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project through a Freedom of Information Act request.
The documents show that the agency "equates protected online speech to violence," the Oversight Project tweeted alongside a guide to "racially or ethnically motivated violent extremism" (RMVE), which includes a "glossary of terms used by RMVEs."

India's purchases of Russian oil reached an all-time high of 1.64 million barrels per day (bpd) in March, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, citing energy cargo tracker Vortexa.
Russian crude exports to India slightly exceeded the shipment volumes of 1.62 million bpd recorded in February. Russia has now been India's leading oil supplier for six consecutive months.

Swiss exports to Russia have not been affected significantly since Ukraine-related sanctions meant to isolate Moscow were imposed, Neue Zuericher Zeitung am Sonntag newspaper reported on Sunday.
Between March 2022 and February 2023 Switzerland supplied Russia with goods worth 2.9 billion Swiss francs ($3.2 billion), down from 3.5 billion recorded the previous year, the outlet said, citing figures from the alpine nation's customs service.

Several high-ranking Russian officials have suggested unblocking Twitter after the social media giant removed restrictions on accounts affiliated with the country's government.
On Monday, Anton Gorelkin, the deputy head of the State Duma committee on information policy, described Twitter CEO Elon Musk's decision on the matter as a "miracle." He noted that users were now once again free to read posts published by the Kremlin, Russia's Foreign Ministry, Moscow's embassies abroad and other state institutions.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has rejected calls to crack down on the account of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev after the latter posted that Ukraine would eventually vanish from the world map.
One user asked the billionaire why he allowed "Russian leaders back on the platform" and why he did not abide by the Western sanctions while attaching Medvedev's tweet.

The Pentagon suspects that a US citizen may have been behind the apparent leak of a trove of classified information containing several bombshell revelations, Reuters has reported.
Photos of documents appearing to originate from the Pentagon, with many marked as highly classified, were posted online in March.

The planet's wealthiest 25 people have had a rough year, with their aggregate net worth plunging by $200 billion, according to Forbes' 2023 World Billionaires List released last week. They are still worth a combined $2.1 trillion, the rating shows.
Both the number of billionaires and their combined wealth were down, with 254 people losing their billionaire status.
