We're on the eve of destruction

Declan Hayes

If there is no authoritative body to call a halt to NATO's madness, then the consequences of letting slip the dogs of war are as clear as the biggest, best and brightest rosary of nuclear mushroom clouds Trump can ever imagine.

What though the field be lost?
All is not lost; the unconquerable Will,
And study of revenge, immortal hate,
And courage never to submit or yield
 Paradise Lost.

When we combine recent pronouncements by Alastair Crooke and Pope Leo with the following summary overview of events on Russia's western front, in the South China Sea and in the  Greater Israel project, we can have no cause for optimism. The world, as we know it, is goosed.

Crooke's main point is that America is a bull in a china shop and Israel has it by the nose. As far as America and her vassals go, escalation is the only game in town and the strategy is not so much to park the tanks on her enemies' lawns but to ram them down their throats, whilst making them offers they can't refuse. Russia, Venezuela and Iran have the choice of following Syria into bondage or getting their brains splattered all over the place. Far from being idle hyperbole, this has been the fate of Iranian and Syrian scientists and other non-combatants, whose very existence Israel found objectionable on the mercurial reasons that mafia statelet operates by. The oil rich Venezuelans, for their part, are seeing the Yanks  blast their subsistence fishermen into a million pieces as part of America's domestic war on America's domestic drug plague. If you seek any logic in any of this, you seek in vain.

While Russia tries to make sense of NATO's ongoing genocides in the Middle East, she also has to contend with the fact that NATO has turned her entire Western front into a powder keg, with Ukraine being but a sizzling fuse presaging a much bigger firestorm. The state of play in Ukraine at the time of writing is that Zelensky's Azov brigades, the best that transparent gangster has, continue to put up stout resistance against the Ivans, just as their Waffen-SS idols did in an earlier era. And, even if we leave the rights and wrongs of the conflict to one side, we cannot deny that the Azovs are hard core Nazis and the Russians and Belarusians have well grounded historical reasons to resist such CIA sponsored throat cutters running amok in their midst.

The tragedy is those well grounded Russian fears are never given an airing and instead Western Europe is arming at the same rate the Third Reich did in the lead up to World War Two. Criminally unhinged and all as Hiter was, NATO's shot callers are giving the CIA's trojan horses of the Baltic pimple states and Poland far too big of a platform to rattle their sabres.

Pompous Poland is spending a fortune on  the 'Monster of Tarnów' anti-drone system and is  barring China from accessing the Arctic, Denmark is turning into a  major arms purchasing and manufacturing hub and conducting  war games in Greenland, while pipsqueak Ireland is  splashing the cash on arms sales in London, whose secret service is  openly advertising for Russian traitors, while  Finland is ordering its cowed citizenry to stock up on food, water and wood for their saunas in advance of the Russkies invading them and  fifth rate CIA academics are still trying to frame Putin on child abduction charges. These madmen in authority are all spoiling for a scrap.

Without urgent deescalation, all this can only mean a much greater battle between the West and Russia, which has seen  her assets stolen and her cultural legacy traduced in the most outrageous fashion. Cool and patient Russian heads are one thing but being a permanent doormat for the likes of Zelensky, Macron and his husband is another.

But escalation, rather than deescalation is where the big money is. Forget, as the West's media do,  3 year olds being on state sponsored Ukrainian kill lists. The big news is that  Perfidious Albion is cashing in making thousands of interceptor drones with which to slaughter other 3 year old Russian children, the  Blackwater mercenary army are making drones in Ukraine even as  AI powered drones are set to flood the modern battlefields, the  Yanks are selling their Reaper drones to whichever of their lackeys will stump up the readies for them even as  they develop more wonder weapons, the RAF are using the excuse of Russian drone incursions to  control Polish air space and German militarism, looking for the lion's share of this lucrative pie, once again  threatens world peace.

But, though it is fine for the RAF to colonise Polish air space and for their  Royal Marines to plank their posteriors in the South China Sea,  NATO considers any  collaboration between Belarus and Russia or any  Russian technological drone advances or any of her  planes flying in the Barents Strait to be, if not a casus belli, then the utmost provocation;  as CNN helpfully explains, even if Russia is doing nothing, that too is still too aggressive and must be militarily countered with all that NATO can muster. Russia, which has the world's largest nuclear arsenal, is between a rock and a hard place with all this NATO browbeating and grandstanding. It is all one big powder keg with NATO's minions all too eager to blow it sky high because of some irrational gripe they have with nineteenth century Russian writers.

Switching to  the South China Sea, we have Imperialist China vowing to make a  coral protection reef adjacent to the Philippines only a few short weeks after doing their Stolen Valour march through downtown Beijing to hijack the victory of Chiang Kai-Shek's forces and the Red Army over Imperial Japan's by then much depleted Kwantung Army . If China, which pollutes and poaches fish worldwide, is so worried about  coral reefs in the waters of the Philippines and Vietnam it is  in the process of stealing, it should sink its navy there and then let nature's fish and fauna take their course, and the Chinese diasporas in South East Asia should remind the fat cats in Beijing of the retaliation they have had to endure from the natives for past transgressions as a reminder of how their brigandage will make history repeat itself once again with Biblical scale pogroms throughout the whole of South East Asia.

Though China is moaning about  U.S.-Australian war games beside its proposed stolen reef, and it is none too happy with  the Aussies,  Japan and the Philippines ramping up their navies and drone killing expertise, and though the exponential increase of  Turkish arms sales throughout South East Asia will have significant repercussions amongst NATO's Uighur fifth columnists, China has brought much of this and all the grief that is to follow onto its own head. Living in interesting times, indeed.

Not, as Pope Leo affirms, that they will listen to any of this. In a recent, profound utterance following his return to Rome from his summer holiers, the Pope sagely declared that, though he can advocate for peace, he cannot broker it. And to be fair to him, nor can anyone else because the powers that be in Washington, Beijing and elsewhere are hell bent on Armageddon. If the United States can veto every opportunity to hold Israel to account for its utter barbarity, what chance has the Pope, especially when the CIA's media mouthpieces want to  trip him up over Belarus and wherever else those parasites want to leverage to  undermine Russia and whoever else is in the CIA's bad books?

But that is no reason for the Pope or anyone else to surrender the field to NATO's sociopaths. Even taking those eggshells he must tippy toe through into account, the Pope should tell the Ukrainian and Polish Churches to pull their horns in and to join him, as far as is practicable, in denouncing the ongoing barbarities Ukraine's Orthodox faithful are courageously enduring and, lest we forget, which helped impel Russia to enter the Ukrainian fray all those years and hundreds of thousands of dead lives ago. The fact that Rome has been as silent on that blatant persecution as it has been complicit in the persecution of the Church in Iraq, Syria and Palestine is not a good look.

As someone whose life experiences straddle both of the Americas, the Pope should lend his voice to those opposing the CIA using Venezuelan fishermen for target practice and to baldy that, because the drug problem of the United States is largely of its own domestic making, the cure lies within the United States and not with giving Venezuelan fishermen premature watery graves.

The Pope should also let Israel and its primary sponsors know that Christians have been in the Holy Land since the time of Jesus and that they have at least as much right to live there peaceably as do the Herzogs, who are comparably recent blow-ins from Lithuania via Ireland.

And, though the Pope should make his voice heard, it should be one voice among many and not as a voice crying in the wilderness that Israel and its American henchmen might decide to silence with a well placed assassin's bullet or air strike, just as they have done with so many other olive branch holders before him.

But the problem is not so much with the Pope as in rounding up that backing chorus in an environment where politicians and media mouths follow Langley's line like their lives and careers depend on it, which of course they do. If there is no authoritative body to call a halt to NATO's madness, then the consequences of letting slip the dogs of war are as clear as the biggest, best and brightest rosary of nuclear mushroom clouds POTUS Trump and other  madmen in authority can ever imagine.
